How to Use the KENOTU K10 E-Bike Display: Assist Levels, Speed and Controls

Not sure what the buttons and numbers on your KENOTU K10 display mean? This guide explains the three pedal-assist levels, the five-speed gear system, and the main display controls so you can set up your ride with confidence.

What does the KENOTU K10 display show?

The 1.6-inch TFT display presents key riding information, including speed, mileage, gear position, assist mode, headlight status and fault warnings. Battery level is also listed on the KENOTU K10 product page. Battery indication is a charge reference; it should not be treated as an exact remaining-distance prediction.

How to switch the display on and off

When the display is off, press and hold the △ button to turn it on. Press and hold △ again to switch it off.

How to change the three pedal-assist levels

The KENOTU K10 has three levels of electric pedal assistance. Use the △ and ▽ buttons on the display to adjust the assist level. The assist setting controls how much support the motor provides while you pedal.

Choose the level that suits the road and the amount of effort you want to contribute. Use a lower level when you want less motor support and a higher level when you need more. Adjust the setting only when it is safe to do so, and keep your attention on the road while riding.

KENOTU K10 assist levels vs. five-speed gears

The KENOTU K10 has three electric pedal-assist levels and a separate five-speed mechanical gear system. Assist level changes motor support; the gear shifter changes the mechanical gear ratio for pedalling. They serve different purposes: use the display buttons to adjust electric assistance and the gear shifter to select one of the five gears.

How to turn the K10 headlight on and off

From the basic functions screen, double-tap △ to switch on the headlight. A headlight icon appears in the upper-right corner of the display. Double-tap △ again to switch the light off. Check local lighting rules and make sure you remain visible to other road users.

What should I do if a warning appears?

The display can show fault warnings. If one appears, stop somewhere safe and consult the troubleshooting section of the official user manual. Do not continue riding if the bike does not feel safe to use.

Does the display show exactly how far I can ride?

The battery indication helps you monitor charge, but it cannot guarantee a fixed remaining distance. The KENOTU K10 is listed with a range of up to 60 km. Actual range varies with rider weight, temperature, terrain, road conditions and assist level. Start longer rides with a suitable charge and leave a reserve for the return journey.

Quick KENOTU K10 display reference

  • Power display on or off: press and hold △.
  • Adjust electric assistance: use △ or ▽; the K10 has three pedal-assist levels.
  • Change mechanical gearing: use the gear shifter; the K10 has five gears.
  • Switch headlight: double-tap △.
